Celebrating Our Learning Environment

16 Sep 2025

Today, colleagues from Dulverton Primary School visited Willow Bank to see how we use our learning environment as a driver for teaching, learning, and inclusion. We explained not just what we do — our displays and pupil ownership — but the why behind them.

Our displays are not just decoration. They showcase the process of learning, highlight pupil voice, and give children true ownership of their work. By doing this we foster pride, a sense of belonging, and — importantly — we see a direct positive impact on behaviour.

It was a privilege to share our approach today with our visitors, and we are immensely proud of how our children showcased their learning journeys. It is wonderful for the children see their efforts valued and celebrated.

“The environment we create has the power to shape the way people see themselves and their potential.” – Bill Strickland
