Inclusion Overview

At Willow Bank Primary School, we firmly believe that all children have an entitlement to be educated alongside their peers within their local community. We are deeply committed to removing the barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individual children, or groups of children.

As a school, we fully recognise our responsibilities under the Equalities Act 2010 and aim to move beyond compliance with the legislation. Equality of opportunity is a reality for all our children within school and our dedicated staff team work relentlessly to ensure that all children have the right to a fulfilling learning experience, regardless of their social background, ethnicity, religion, academic ability or additional need. We aim to be a community where everyone is treated fairly and with respect.

We understand the vital role our families play in the well-being and development of their children and the importance of working together as a team with external agencies. Therefore, we aim to provide ongoing support to all our parents and families, through informal coffee mornings, drop-in meetings, workshops and courses.
