Meal arrangements

The Mayor of London, know parents/carers are really struggling with the cost-of-living crisis right now. That’s why he has taken the decision to provide funding to expand on the Government’s limited existing free school meals offer. This means all primary school children who attend state schools in London will receive free school meals for the full academic year, starting September 2023.

Your child will receive their free school meals automatically, but it is vitally important that you still complete your school or borough’s registration form in case your child is eligible for extra funding, it may also entitle you to other benefits like food vouchers during the holidays. There is more information about registration in your borough here:

Changing meal arrangements

If your child wishes to change their lunch time meal arrangement, please provide us with ample notice. This enables us to notify our kitchen staff, who will ensure enough food is ordered to cater for any additional children.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to accommodate part time meal patterns (e.g. – 2 days school dinners/3 days packed lunch). Children should have school meals (or packed lunch) for all 5 days of the week - thank you for your anticipated co-operation.

Food allergies

Finally, please remember to keep us updated with regards any food allergies or dietary requirements your child has, so that we can pass this information on to our catering company and kitchen staff.

If you have any further queries with regards school meals, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
